My name is Dani, and it's nice to meet you! Though I'm not currently teaching full time, I am a professionally trained teacher of English reading and writing. I taught high school level English for 4 years, and coached public speaking and debate for an additional 8 years. I recently received my TESOL certification, qualifying me to teach English as a second language to students ages Kindergarten to adult. I've had the opportunity to work with students from so many backgrounds and at so many levels, and I've loved every minute of it! I hope to meet more people here at italki.
I'm also hoping that my love of teaching will take me to other countries, specifically Belgium. My boyfriend lives just outside of Brussels, and I hope to be moving there to join him in a few months. I'm currently attempting to learn Dutch, using his help and language learning software. I plan to teach English in Belgium in a classroom, as well as continue my work with italki.
I have a few personal hobbies, as well. I love to cook and bake. My specialties are homemade chocolates and Mexican cuisine, but I'm learning more about grilling and barbequing. I also love to knit.
