I've been informally learning Moroccan Darija for 3 years to an elementary level and want to improve on this. I'd also love to learn Tamazight, as close as possible to the dialect spoken in the Azilal province.
I've been informally learning the Arabic dialect for 2 years but still consider myself at beginner level - I am quite confident at speaking but find it difficult to understand native speakers, so would love more speaking and listening practice. And although my vocabularly is growing, I need to get the sentence structure correct to make myself understood.
I'm an absolute beginner when it comes to Tamazight, knowing just a handful of words/phrases, but my daughter is half Amazigh and I'd love to be able to communicate with her extended family when we visit them.
I am happy to take part in language exchange and share my native English with people who are able to share Arabic or Tamazight. I may be willing to pay for personal tuition, as I am also interested in pursuing Arabic on an academic level; I have learnt basic Arabic script (currently studying the grammar) and wish to be able to read and write MSA.
I currently live on the beautiful coast of south west England with my two children. I work for a charity and run my own business.
