I am Steve, from central England. I have a strong humanities background, having studied history, and later for a Masters degree in English Language Teaching. I have been teaching for over six years. I studied full-time for my Masters in English Language Teaching. The knowledge I gained from this course has certainly helped me to make students more fluent in a shorter space of time. As for my beliefs as a language teacher, I feel it is important to personalise language and phrases because too many language learners learn words and collocations without a context. It is much more rewarding to learn words and collocations in sentences which are true, about you and your life or about someone you know. You can then reproduce them later in conversation. I will display to students the language learning techniques which have helped me to learn both Polish and Serbian. I always send a lesson review after each lesson with new vocabulary, grammar points and pronunciation issues. More recently, I have held many "themed" discussion classes based on self-created articles which contain natural every day language (useful lexical phrases). I've also recorded these for your convenience. See you all soon.
