Like most otaku who want to learn Japanese, my interest came from anime and manga, but i've been studying japanese at my university for about 2 years. However, I have taken many months off and forgot alot of my Japanese ><. I also listen to j-pop and j-rock but i don't keep up with who is popular or anything. Utada Hikaru is proably my favorite japanese music artists, but I have recently fallen in love with the band UVERworld. I also like Hamasaki Ayumi and Nakashima Mika.
As far as other languages go, I studied French in high school and would like to pick up that again. And I've always wanted to learn Italian (It seems like such a romantic language).
