I have studied Japanese for more than four years. I've always wanted to become a manga-ka--how original. XD but I will definitely use Japanese in my future career so I need to keep studying!
I've always wanted to go to Korea, and I have lots of friends from there so I hope I can learn a lot before I go!
I've recently become interested in learning Sinhala because a good friend of mine is from Sri Lanka and I want to learn the major language that's spoken there!
I think Hindi would be fun to learn as well, but...only because I'm a fan of Aishwarya Rai! XD
As for Thai--I wrote a story that takes place in Thailand and I would love to learn the language and culture. I've also considered traveling there to teach English to children! I hope someday I will!!
And Chinese--there are lots of people at my college that speak it. I also play mahjong in Chinese...so it would be useful to know more.
And although it's not listed on italki, I think the African language Xhosa is so fascinating! I only know maybe 3 words...
And I hope someday the Avatar language Na'vi will grow and I can learn that too! (I'm kind of a geek that way...XD)
I've also experimented with creating my own language for a different story I've written. My linguistics class sure comes in handy!!
