My name is Kruti Parikh and I live in Bangalore, India . I did my M. Phil in Journalism and Mass Communication from Ahmedabad (Gujarat-India) and am a Journalist by profession.
Having been a student of Gandhian University, I am inclined towards imparting knowledge to younger generation. I have decided to educate student about Journalism and Communication skills.
I am passionate about developing a love for the written word, planting a seed that will grow into a powerful voice with the ability to inspire many.
Communications is a big tool. After spending five years in mainstream media, I have learned that if I want to become a global creator, I would definitely have to know more about the strengths and impact of the media .
My ultimate goal is to empower young generation by teaching them the role of media and communications tools. That's why I would like to teach creative writing to be a part of a new generation.
Several years back after my Post Graduation in Journalism, I had gotten an opportunity to teach students of the age group of 14-16 years in one of the school in Dharampur (small village in south Gujarat-India). I had taught them how to write letter to editor and encouraged them to write about social problems plaguing their village. After initial hesitation those students learnt the pertinent skills and wrote the letters on their own.
After few days one fine morning I was pleasantly surprised to know that their letters had gotten published in local newspapers. The editor was indeed very happy with those students. That was my first teaching experience in the field of creative writing. That particular news triggered and inspired me to endeavor to teach journalism in near future. but had a bleak idea of when would I begin ?
I had always wanted to be a media professional, so I had joined TV9 Gujarat News channel and worked for 3 years.
