I grew up in and live in the center of the US. Even many Americans refer to it as "flyovercountry" because it is mostly agricultural. I've not traveled outside my continent, but have had a lifelong fascination with the rest of the world and it's people and cultures. Particularly literature and history. My goal is to read Russian, Persian and Chinese literature and philosophy and understand it in the native language not in translation and to meet people who want help in understanding my culture in the same way.
