I'm a Mongolian, who is passionate about languages. I like talking about languages and how they are similar to or different from each other. Currently, I'm studying three foreign languages. First one is of course English. It's been the most dominant language for a long time and I needed to learn it to go to a college here in the U.S. Second one is Turkish and I'm at intermediate level. Mongolian and Turkish are in the same language family (Altaic family). Hence, Turkish was relatively easy for me. I was very happy to see many roots and words in common in those two languages. Lastly, I'm just starting to learn Japanese. Japanese belongs neither to Altaic family nor to Sino-Tibetan family, which includes Chinese. However, Japanese has some characteristics that are present in both families. And this fascinating fact triggered my ambition to excel in this language.
So I'll be happy to talk to anyone who knows Japanese and Turkish. And I'll be very glad to teach my mother tongue as well.
