I am trying to figure out how to get back to Japan. It may take a few years, but I really want to visit my family there. I want to really improve my Japanese so I can talk with Hiroe and the grandparents, as well as make new friends. Last time I went, I was still very shy about my speaking, and learning Japanese was difficult for me. Now, I still don't know very much Japanese, but I am much more comfortable so I am ready to practice talking. I know my accent is horrible.
Other than Japan, I keep pretty busy. My husband and I live in a neighborhood with lots of my family, so I really enjoy spending time all together. I try to help everyone out a lot, but sometimes I get really absorbed in a good story, so I probably read too much. I like making bread, growing orchids, and decorating, and spending time with friends from church. My family has one dog, named Fido. I also have one fish. I think his name is just Fish.
Okay. So I am especially hoping to meet friends who can write to me in Japanese. We can skype too! I can help you with English practice as well. If you live in Japan, maybe I can meet you when I finally go back!
