hey y'all, what's up? i thought i would use this 'about me' section to say a few things about the languages i am learning.
i am currently focusing on modern standard arabic, or fus7a... i don't know much 3amiyye yet but i hope to learn some one day, probably masri or shami dialect, but who knows! :) so far i have been learning fus7a for about a year. i have never visited the middle east but i hope to one day!
i also am learning mandarin chinese, which i am relatively good at (i wouldn't be able to go to university or hold a conference, but i can navigate daily life without any problems) but can't read very well in. this one i'm learning for personal reasons - i am part chinese and i would love to impress the chinese side of my family one day!
and obviously i'm a native speaker of english. no elaboration needed for that one!
