I teach Spanish at Valparaiso University. I want to learn some less-commonly-taught languages of the Spanish-speaking world.
I would like to study one of the indiginous languages of Mexico. I hope to find a teacher willing to work with a beginner in exchange for language lessons in English conversation or grammar, or in Spanish (reading, writing, literacy).
I studied Catalan at the University of Illinois, at the University of Barcelona, and at Columbia University in New York. I get to speak the language only about once a year when I find a native speaker where I live in Indiana, where my parents live in Wisconsin, or in Chicago. I have stopped tourists on the street to ask them to practice Catalan for a few minutes with me. I would love to converse with others.
