I was born into a Chinese family, and speak Mandarin with my parents when I'm home. I grew up in New York City and speak English to everyone else so both Chinese and English are my first languages. I studied French in high school but didn't study very hard so my French isn't great. I studied Japanese in college and studied hard this time so my Japanese is pretty good.
I love learning languages. I'm currently trying to improve my French to make up for my laziness back in high school :-)
I would also like to study more Chinese. I'm fluent in everyday conversational Mandarin, but I would love to be able to read Classical Chinese. I can understand about 40-60% of the text in 古文观止, unfortunately my parents were too busy with work when I was little to teach me more. I'm looking for someone with a good understanding and appreciation for 古文 to help me with study advice.
