I'm a 21 year old, black male from the U.S. I've studied Japanese for about 6 years total (4 years in high school and 2 yrs in college). Sadly, I've never been to japan (or outside of the U.S. for that matter.), and I don't have any native speakers to talk to on a regular basis (there are few Japanese exchange students in my college, but sadly they: A.) are all female (I need someone my gender (in real life) to practice with so things don't get awkward and so i don't seem like a foreign guy creeping on Japanese girls. But online, i don't care.), B.) all of them prefer to mainly speak English, and C). I'm not at a good enough speaking/comprehension level where I can keep the conversation interesting for long.). With all of that in mind, even though I've studied Japanese for 6 yrs, I'm only at a classroom level. For anyone out there who is reading this, hopefully this can give you a better understanding of my Japanese level and situation.
