Finishing my doctoral thesis at the University of Minnesota, College of Design. Dissertation focused on contributions of Iwan Tirta to Indonesian cultural and national identities. Would like to pursue a second PhD if it is in the stars. Academic interests are in phenomenology, hermeneutics, material culture, symbolic interactionism. B.A. in Art History, Renaissance Art. Traveled much and now very content sitting in front of the computer wrestling with words and making sense of the world. Once finished with PhD will seek teaching position in northern California.
