Come experience Mandarin Chinese taught outside the box, by a fully fluent native English speaker (by "fluent" I mean "works as a simultaneous interpreter" fluent). In addition to a Ph.D in Foreign Language Education, I also have degrees in Linguistics and Chinese Linguistics, as well as an MA in Conference Interpretation from a Chinese-speaking university. I can explain any and all aspects of Mandarin Chinese in English, either from a technical perspective or in easy-to-understand terms. I've taught English on the radio in Asia as well as teaching English, Spanish and interpretation/translation for a variety of private and governmental entities in the US and abroad.
Every human being has the ability to use language, and anyone who has acquired a native language can acquire any other (and as many other) languages as he wishes.
