Hello, my name is Harry. I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Asia-Pacific Studies at the Australian National University majoring in Indonesian and Mandarin Chinese. In 2012 I will be going to Taiwan (Kaohsiung) to further study Mandarin for 6 months, and then travel to Mainland China and Indonesia. My academic interests include linguistics (English, Indonesian, colloquial Indonesian, Chinese), language teaching methodology, popular culture in Asia, broadcast media, urbanisation and globalisation in Indonesia (and the rest of Asia), homosexuality in Indonesia (and other Asian countries), amongst others.
