Why Japanese? let's say it wasn't my highest priority language in the humanist science faculty (that is because I heard it had a high burden of homework), but seeing all other language courses were full of students so I couldn't attend them, I took Japanese as my last resort because it still had empty seats. Turned out Japanese is quite an interesting language and not so hard to learn. Yes it's different from anything I've known so far, but that's what so special about it.
