I've been plugging away at the Irish for 12 years now but still having many problems. I've recently discovered a workbook on line by Nancy Stenson so I decided I'd give it a try for practice. When I got to her Chapter 7 (Habitual case) I've again hit a wall. For instance: Change the following to the appropriate habitual tense: Níl mé cinnte an bhfuil siad sásta nó nach bhfuil. Answer key: Níl mé cinnte an mbíonn siad sásta nó nach mbíonn. WHY NOT: Níl mé cinnte an mbídís sásta nó nach mbídís.
