Hi! My name is Peter, and I am from the German city of Augsburg (Bavaria), but right now I live in Bogota (Colombia, South America). I have also lived in Spain and the United States. I´m a journalist and a translator, my hobbies are chess, photography and learning languages. I run an Instagram account about German idioms and colloquial expressions called @bitofgerman.Me as a Teacher
I want to help you feel more at ease when you speak German. As a journalist I am used to talking with people I´ve never met before, and being a passionate language learner myself, I know what it´s like to struggle to speak a foreign language. I know that mistakes are not a bad thing, but part of the learning process.My lessons & teaching style
As a community tutor I focus on conversation, so the first step is finding out what topics you enjoy talking about. As we talk, I will help you to express yourself in a way that sounds more natural. Take this example: “Können Sie Deutsch sprechen?”. That´s a perfectly correct sentence, but native speakers simply don´t use it. They ask either “Können Sie Deutsch?” or “Sprechen Sie Deutsch?“.
At the beginning of your journey to fluency, it may be difficult to find the right words, so it might help that you can ask me almost anything in English, Spanish or even French.My teaching material

Peter ist ein wirklich netter und weiser Lehrer. Ich kann mit ihm über verschiedene Themen gerne reden, und ihn alles von deutsche Grammatik fragen. Seine perfekte Englischkentnisse ist sehr hilfreich immer wenn ich mich ein Wort auf Deutsch nicht erinnere oder gar nicht kenne. Er versteht sofort was ich meine, egal wie schlecht ich frage, und erklärt durch viele Beispiele. Bin sehr zufrieden.

Had some lessons with other teachers, but Peter is the one I liked the most. He's patient and always try to help you using the chat, as well as speaking slowly to make it easier since I'm a beginner :D
