Hi!
I am trying to identify transitive and intransitive verbs in a text.
TRANSITIVE
...that winter morning that seemed to bring him back his joyousness... (TO BRING is transitive)
...he walked with the duchess for an hour... (WALKED is transitive)
INTRANSITIVE
“Have you had good sport, Geoffrey?” he asked. (ASKED - intransitive)
They either slay the man, or themselves die. (DIE -is this intransitive in this situation? )
Thanks!

A verb is transitive when it _can_ have a _direct_ object.
"to walk" is intransitive
However, there is one idiomatic usage where it could be interpreted as "transitivized"...
Example: He walked the dog.
"to die" is always intransitive, not just in this situation
