Fantastic working with Oliver! Very patient. Loves language learning and teaching and it shows. Very, very helpful. I've studied with a lot of different instructors and he is the most attentive and helpful! :)

Oliver is a well-spoken, confident, and motivated teacher. He is a literal wealth of knowledge, socially conscious, naturally curious and passionate about current events and world news; All of this is a wonderful starting point for fresh and involved conversation practice. His mic setup is first-rate and significantly outpaces the common in-ear headset/mic combos for transmission of sound and tone (a vital element in understanding spoken Chinese). He arrived early for my lesson, answered a last-minute question even though we were at the time-mark, and is very comfortable using technology to enhance the learning process.

Oliver was really kind and helped me out with the words I couldn't remember. I enjoyed our conversation, Oliver is very easy to talk to.

This was a great lesson! I needed conversation practice, and it was great because we ended up having a free-flowing natural (ish) conversation. Oliver corrected when necessary, and helped me out when I was stuck, but he let me talk and try and figure things out on my own. Really recommend and I will be booking more sessions for sure!

My son, who is 13 years old, enjoyed his first lesson with Oliver. Oliver helped answer many of his questions as a beginner learner of Mandarin.
