My name is Florian and I'm from France. I was born in France in 1992 and have travelled throughout the country while moving almost every two years. I love my country and its traditions. I since a young age and until this very moment I have never stopped travelling and exploring the world to learn about it, and to learn about myself. I've always been curious about many different subjects and consider myself open-minded and good in communication. I worked as a salesman in different companies, from a second-hand shop to an interior designer, and for three years now I've lived in the South Pacific where I mastered my English in Australia and New Zealand with my Canadian partner.

French has so many language dialects and a lot of slang so I'm not going to judge someone for their accent when speaking French - there are over 20 countries that speak French so there are that many ways to speak French while being a native speaker. I'll teach you the basics that most French people use in their daily lives and teach you the words and phrases that are relevant to you and where you want to use French. Learning can be fun when you make it fun and I will do my best to make our lessons pleasant and entertaining.

My lessons will be based around having conversations to evaluate skill levels and the areas where they need to improve. My motivation is to improve spoken French rather than written French. My lessons will be casual and conversational - I want our lessons to feel more like a conversation with a friend rather than a teacher. I get feedback from people about the areas where they want to improve and base our lessons on that, while incorporating a review of what was taught in the last lesson.

Je suis très heureux d'avoir Florian comme professeur de français. Nous avons toujours des choses intéressantes à discuter en français chaque semaine. Je me sens totalement à l'aise et m’amuse bien quand je parle français avec lui. En fait, avec Florian je me sens dans une atmosphère calme et relaxante où je suis motivé et dans un meilleur état d’esprit pour comprendre et parler le français. Selon moi, Florian sait naturellement comment créer l’ambiance dans laquelle on peut apprendre à parler français tout en prenant du plaisir. Merci bien à vous, mon bon professeur !

Excellent as always: this lesson, Flo exemplified different synonymous expressions in French and English in order to better capture the essence of what he was trying to translate. This really aided communication. Moreover, he did this with his usual patience and great sense of humour!! Merci, Flo!
