don't use "technologies" -- use "the internet" because technologies has many more meanings, and the question specifically talks about the internet. Your example doesn't fit your statement. You talk about scientists working together (at least I think you do). Then your example should be about that, not about people finding out about it. For example, "With shared data about COVID-19, scientists were able to work more quickly to create a vaccine to fight the virus. "
