I cannot say I have a wonderful childhood but I can say there were many wonderful moments in my childhood that need to be cherished. Among these moments, one of the things I like the most is at the end of each lunar year when we Chinese people celebrate our Chinese New Year. It is a time for all our families and friends get together and celebrate. Because of some objective reasons, some of my close relatives have to leave home and work at another city to earn money, so that Chinese New Year becomes the only time we can meet other every year. I really miss the time when we spent together. It is the second year when I cannot back home to celebrate this holiday with my family because I have to study at another country. Also, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we must do central -quarantine in a government designed hotel for 14 consecutive days, and another 14 days of self-quarantine when returned from another country. This makes it more difficult for students like us to back home to celebrate some important holidays with our family. But I am quite sure that everything will return to normal in the near future and our human beings will finally win in the combatting with the COVID-19 pandemic.
