Great! A few small changes to make it sound natural, but it was perfectly understandable. In England we would spell vecinos as "neighbours" with a u, but without the u is the correct spelling in the United States.

First, we would meet up with our neighbors and eat some sweet rice, smoked meat, and potatoes. Then, we would go home to family and wait for midnight to come around. Finally, we would go out dancing until dawn.
Very good! I changed it a bit to make it more more fitting to how people would respond to that question, but the general meaning should be the same :)
