On Saturday, I need to work in Tuen Mun in the afternoon. Usually, I would arrive a bit early before having class there. As usual, other colleagues working in Tuen Mun would have lunch when I arrive. Yesterday, I was sitting there to join their conversation when they were having lunch. I asked, ‘What do you have for lunch?” It’s a way to open a conversation with others in Hong Kong. Unlike Western culture, Westerners would ask ‘How are you?” or ‘How’s going?” My boss said, ‘I think Homer’s mum will make the tuition payment !’ All of a sudden, I don’t know the reasons. At that moment I said, ‘Don’t trust what the parents said wholly.” Because it’s never guaranteed. Then, my other colleague said, ‘Never trust our words too! Coz the things that we’ve said might not be true as well! I responded to her, ‘Good!’
