Sometimes, I feel empty even when I am working hard and accomplishing many things. Sometimes, I see some people who seem to be pessimistic, who constantly complain, or who just look worn out and tired, and I think that we must all surely ask ourselves about the meaning of life. No, sorry, unfortunately, I do not know the answer to that question either, but I have come to realize that we will never be happy if we don't work hard, don't try our best, and don't try to help others, as those are the ways we learn and grow intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. In doing so, not only do we help ourselves, but it is also a way we can be a positive influence on others. Most importantly, let us all somehow be content with, and grateful for, the many simple and beautiful everyday things that happen all around us each day--the warmth of the sun or a blanket on a cold day, the smile on the face of someone we care about, the ability to eat whenever we are hungry-- as seeing life in this way will allow us to live a meaningful life.
