Hi everyone. Covid 19 changed my life for the worse. First I lost my job and now I work for/at a little company but now I earn less money and work more hours but I learnt that it is very important to have money to one side for emergencies like that.

I would reword it slightly: Hi everyone. Covid-19 changed my life for the worse. I lost my job, and although I’ve found another I now earn less and work more hours than before. I’ve learnt that it is very important to keep money to one side for emergencies (or “for a rainy day” - just an expression in English).
