Children under 18 are not allowed to attend tutoring schools on weekdays for subjects like mathematics and languages, but with the exception of musical instruments and painting. This is indeed good news for both parents and children. It is common that the primary school teacher won’t teach Pinyin again, if all the pupils in her class have already learned it in the tutoring school. Or she will teach it quickly, if most of her students have learned it.
