Persist in learning a foreign language everyday is very difficult. We know learning is a lifelong process，so we can only achieve our learning goal step by step everyday. However，there is no speaking environment for a foreign language ，which makes it less interesting to learn it without real conversations with real people.

I completely agree with this. I have also mentioned it to a student of mine before. For me personally, reading is an escape that I use. Especially, if you’re reading something of your interest, it helps you with explore more vocabulary and being able to understand different contexts of vocabulary. What you don’t understand, you can try to search. However, it’s still not the same as having conversation with people, which is what makes learning a bit easier.
