I'm currently trying this little exercise to train my speaking skills in English: I read out loud a text to a speech-to-text online tool (I chose Otter.ai, but any one of those tools will do), and if the transcribed text is similar to the original text, then I'm satisfied... A harder variation on this exercise is speaking freely to the text-to-speech tool and see if you can understand the transcript. Free speech is usually less structured than a written text, especially if it's not in your native language, but trying to be understood by a machine is good preparation for being understood by humans.

One nice feature with otter.ai: you can replay your speech and see it was transcribed. If some words weren't properly recognized, then you can hear your pronunciation again and understand what was the problem.
