Changes in handwriting after learning new alphabets/writing systems

Ive been studying Japanese for two years and I have to write alot with a pen and paper (in Japanese) and I when I came back to handwriting English for my work I noticed my handwriting has changed substantially. It's more vertical and closer together, has anyone else noticed this in their own handwriting?

I've been learning Kanji for a year now and I totally agree. My handwriting also has changed, as well as my choice of writing utensils. It's a completely different feeling to write in Japanese than in Romaji right? To be honest, when writing English for example, my handwriting has become so messy that I myself sometimes wonder what I wrote...
