My family makes a Christmas dinner before 0:00 am and later we open the presents.

Here in Russia we don't celebrate 24th December. Most population of Russia is Orthodox Christians and the feast of Christmas is associated for us with 7th January. However we love to celebrate New Year, so the last days of December is pretty busy for us too. You should decorate your home, prepare presents for all people you know, cook fascinating dinner for your family :)

Christmas in Canada is an important day.

It used to be a religious holiday and it still is, but fewer people go to church now than in the past.

But the day is really for the children.

They go to sleep on December 24th knowing that Santa Claus will come to their house during the night and leave presents for them.

In the morning, the children usually wake early, earlier than the parents, to go see their gifts under the Christams tree.

Most families have a turkey dinner with vegetables, potatoes, and cranberry sauce.

It's a wonderful time of the year... Merry Christmas everyone...
