I am looking for a qualified Chinese (Mandarin) teacher to help advance my Chinese language and reading skills. I would prefer someone who can provide a courseplan, syllabus, and study materials so that I can progress on a planned path. I would also like to practice speaking conversationaly with the teacher probably once a week.
Hello, Kevin, I recommend that you go to "professional lessons" and use italki's search engine to find candidates. you can then look over their profiles and find some teachers who might best suit your needs. After that, it's a good idea to send them a message explaining a little bit about yourself and your goals, and I'm sure you'll get some good responses. Personally, I love reading the discussions on italki, but most of the other popular teachers don't make time for that.
