I have a question whether to use ON the Internet or IN the Internet.

Here is the context:

It is planned to publish a collection of scientific and methodical materials of the conference, and to present the conference materials in the media (articles in scientific journals, press-releases on the Internet).

Is the word Internet ever used with IN? Or I should ALWAYS use ON the Internet?
