Time management skills

Hi everyone,

I have a few students telling me that they have lots of resources for reading and listening. They try to improve their writing and speaking, but they say the real problem isn't access to materials and resources, instead it's figuring out how to effectively use their time each day and how to make the best use of it for language learning.

What are you tips and advice for developing effective time management skills?

Any books or websites or podcasts you can recommend on this topic?

Thanks!

Thanks for raising this point... for me it's really very important no matter if it is about learning language or doing everyday work.

As far as I am concerned there are useful tips about time managements...http://sbinfocanada.about.com/cs/timemanagement/a/timemgttips.htm

Although it targets at small business I find that only a couple from 11 tips are directed only on people who run companies but others can be used in any activities.

I think how to manage the time is a very effective element in our daily life. If I can answer this question I will be able to work, study, have fun and do every thing I'd like to do in my life. In my view, only successful people can answer this even they can manage every minute they have. For me, giving a priority for important tasks and eliminating wasting much time for social activities are critical steps to wisely manage the time. Generally, there are some websites I;d like to share, I wish they could be helpful.
