I'd love to be in Times Square in New York at midnidht on next New Year's Eve! And I'd like it to be snowing too - that's more romantic. People say that the atmosphere there is amazing. I think it would be a great experience.
With a bit of luck, we hope to see the total eclipse of the sun on August 21st, 2017. I traveled to Maine in 1963 to see it, but... as is often the case... the sky had broken clouds and the coolness of the eclipse cause the cloudiness to increase just at the time of totality.
Mine used to be swimming at the Great Barrier Reef . Now that i have done that mine would be to see The Northern Lights ( Aurora Borealis)
I am a New Yorker and while now as I approach my 55th birthday and hate too much noise and crowds, I did go once when I was in my early 20s and I agree with you both, there is something magical about it, and like Niagara Falls, it is definitely something one must see/do in their lifetimes, even if only once.
