Where Is My Next Book on China

Dear iTalki-ers,

Anyone happens to have read a good book on China (written in my target language: English) and would like to recommend?

P.S.: Just to give you an idea, I really had a good time reading the following super awesome books.

Peter Hessler: Strange Stone, Orachle Bones, River Town, Country Driving

Evan Osnos: Age of Ambition

Thank you so very much!!

I just found out something interesting online and would like to share it with all of you. The Anthill is a non-profit organization hosting a collection of short stories written by expats residing in China. These stories are essentially anecdotes that some expats have encountered/observed while there.

If you are a native Mandarin speaker who ever wonders what it feels like to be a “foreigner” living in China, you may want to read some of these stories because it puts you in the shoes of “foreigners” and allows you to see ourselves from a more objective point of view.

If you have never been to China and are considering doing that someday, you may also want to read some of these stories to get your feet wet.

Have fun!

Note: (If you happen to have read something good on China, please share it. Thanks!)
