Can anyone help me translate this to French?

Hi, so I'm trying to apply to a study abroad program in Switzerland. They require me to write a short essay in English and then to translate it into French. I told them that I'm only at the B1 level and that I will be at the B2 level by the time I get there. They are okay with that, but they still want me to translate this essay! I don't know how they expect me to do it. Anyway, if anyone can help me out, maybe do just one paragraph or something, that would be amazing. Thanks!

My name is Christopher Keller. I am 25 years old and I am from Springfield, Missouri. I am an anthropology and linguistics student in my hometown at Missouri State University.

There are many reasons for one to wish to study abroad. Perhaps the most common reason is to experience the culture firsthand. I cannot deny that this is my main motivation as well. Such an opportunity as this should be experienced to the fullest. Therefore, I would do so by applying my anthropological experience and my desire to further my language skills.

Being a student of anthropology has certainly sparked my interests in modern cultures throughout the world, but particularly in Western Europe. Furthering my knowledge within my field of study is another significant reason for desiring to study internationally. There is nothing more exciting and inspiring for me than to be immersed fully into another culture and language. I have enrolled in French courses since I was in high school and throughout college, which has helped me to further understand European culture. I've been involved in student organizations, which includes being a president in my school's French club. I hope to use these academic experiences to learn more about this culture in context.

I have had several other past experiences outside of education, which I believe would help contribute to my understanding of European culture and immersion into that society. I have had some experience with traveling internationally. This past January, for example, I traveled overseas to Israel to be immersed into that culture. That trip helped me realize that it is much more fulfilling to live in a culture than just to read about it in a book. I believe that and similar experiences have helped me to appreciate the lifestyles of others around the world and to better adapt to their culture.

With all these things considered, I believe that I would not be able to waste this experience. I would make the most of every second and opportunity while abroad.

Don't you think what you're doing is dishonest ?

No, because this isn't a test of my French skills. I have to take an actual test and have faculty members verify my French skills. This is completely sperate and simply so the school that I'm applying to can understand it. They just don't want me to use Google translate because it doesn't work right, obviously.

I started translating it myself and got about two paragraphs in, but I don't think it's going well.
