The first time in the USA.

Have you ever been to a foreign country? I came to the U.S.A to complete my master degree in Feb 2015. That was the first time for me outside my country (Iraq). I felt confused about this situation because I did not know anyone in the USA just one friend. He came to pick me from JFK Airport, and He helped me to find an apartment to live in. After that, I went to ELS, and I felt more nervous because I could not understand what my teacher said. I started missing my family. My friend supported me, saying, ’’You have goals, be patient.’’ I started thinking back home. <o:p></o:p>

I understand your feeling. When I had come to work by myself at ChengDu last 3.5 years ago, I am so alone and unhelpful, but I insisted on and to found a way to be happy, I worked hard more and more, then I got my goal . And Now, I am free and good.

When I graduated from high school, I went to live in Puerto Rico. I learned Spanish in school and I wanted to live somewhere that the people spoke Spanish as their primary language. I loved it. I made so many friends and I learned to speak like a native in a very short time. I was there for four months. Unfortunately, the employment opportunities were scarce and I was forced to move back to the U.S.

I would have to say: you are a brave student and bet you will not regret this period of experience studying in USA. I am living in and working in a totally strange city, located at the northern side of Australia. Certainly, I have to learn how to fit in and immerse myself to the local atmosphere. That is not an easy task by any means, but you know, that is a great opportunity to become an genuine international citizen who can think and work broadly. I guess it deserves if you persist in your study and exploration, good result and harvest reap will come out.
