Hi dear friends. I noticed there're some different ways to call people.
I think we should call most people from English-speaking countries Mr, Miss, Mrs, Ms , am I right?
Sometimes we can just call our friends' e-name, real name or nick name.
I've talked about this with my friend.
But now I just noticed there're some specil things, like honey, sweet, sweet thing, dear.
But I'm not sure if I can call every people these appellations.
How do you call people please? How can I call you please?
Can I call every people "dear"?
No, you shouldn't call a stranger "dear" or "honey" or "sweet thing." Those names are usually used for someone of the opposite sex whom you're very close to.
If a person introduces himself (or is introduced) by his or her first name, then you should use that name. You don't need to use Mr. or Mrs. Just the name.
If the person is introduced as Mr. or Mrs., then use Mr. or Mrs!
Note that people use Mr. or Mrs. with the family name (that is, the last name in Western culture), not the first name. That is, William Shakespeare would be called "Mr. Shakespeare," not "Mr. William."

If you do not know the person you're talking to, and if they are older than you, call him a "Sir/Mister" and call her a "Ma'am/Miss". As in "Hi Sir!" or "Excuse me, Ma'am." This is very common in USA.
If you know the person, you can just call then by first name. Or you can also call them by "Mr./Mrs./Ms. [last name]" to be polite.
If you know the person really well, you can call them dear/sweetie/honey/boo/etc. This is supposed to be intimate, cute and cheesy. You can also address people you don't know well, but would like to know well, using these terms. Often people just want to be funny.
If you are old, then you can just call anyone anything. Who cares....
