Learning Hangul! Hello Everyone! For the past year I've been interested in learning more about Korea and the language. I'm currently in the 10th grade and want to study abroad after high school. I'm kinda lost at where to start since the town I live in is small, and offers no Korean classes nearby. Can anyone guide me to any websites, or help me themselves, to start learning to read and write in Korean? Any tips would also be appreciated, thank you! :D

Hi all,

I started this year with learning Korean.

with memrise it took me a couple of days to get to know the alphabet.

With talk to me in korean on soundcloud you can listen/hear conversations and they did help me very well.

I also found a teacher here at Italki that did want to learn dutch so now I do have a weekly skype meeting and realy feel I am making quick progress.

I would take you under my wing and teach you but I'm so busy!

I wouldn't spend any money on materials to learn Hangul or typing Hangul because it's very simple to do and there are many free resources. Since it should only take a week at most, there's no point in spending money on something you'll only use for a minute.
