Hello,
I’ve just had an interesting talk with my husband about admitting your own surrender.
To be more precise, where is the line when you should be more determined to reach your goal and where you’d better stop?
It’s challenging for me to stop moving forward, though my husband thinks I’m too determined sometimes. For example, I needed to be disappointed in a country to stop our immigration process to AUS while previously I overcome serious issues to make my dream true and needed just one more small step.
1) What about you? How many attempts do you consider to be enough in order to reach your goal?
2) Is it difficult or easy for you to reasoning why you should stop moving forward?
3) Do you think that determination is a positive or negative personality? Is there any connection with a personal stubbornness?
4) What about your national character and determination? Do you feel like your nation is goal-oriented?
Thank you
Thank you, Jack. Great
Good luck, Ezzat:)
Thank you, Jack
Personally, I don’t think that a mistake and surrender are conected. Take as an illustration my example above or this song by Kongos “ Repeat after me”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NMSGVd2S70 which is about disappointment in belief I think.
Why surrender cannot be a result of disappointment due to circumstances or new facts have been revealed?
In person, I believe quickly admitting and identifying your mistake to apologize for the mistake is an act of courage, which has to be well appreciated. I observed quite a lot of people who hate to admit their mistakes are actually weak and vulnerable in their characters. They suffered much more than who can quickly and swiftly change to mend the flaws
"Do you think that determination is a positive or negative personality? Is there any connection with a personal stubbornness?"
"Persistence" on something is at times on the contrary referring to stubborn or headstrong if the determination is not well inspected and reflected. Determination should be a neutral term to describe a person who is resolved to achieve a goal or rush a doom in a way.
