Another information: Two continent have an Arabic name: "Africa" and "Europe"
This two names was given by the Phoenicia people who a have close language to Arabic. Europe means in Arabic the sunset الغروب .They choose this name because sunset is from the direction of Europe.
And Africa إفريقيّة was the old name of Tunisia+ Libya+ east Algeria . Because many Phoenicia people moved living there. And it means the ones who was separated from their country : أرض الأفارقة، و الأفارقة نسبة للفراق
And after that all of the continent was called Africa.
