Do you prefer cats or dogs? I'm just curious on this. I'm pretty new here, but most of the posts I see that talk about pets have to do with cats, or people have cats with them in their photos. I'm specifically curious about Russians since I'm trying to learn the language right now. I don't know any Russians currently, (I worked for a Russian homebuilder about 15 years ago, but he was a very serious guy so I never thought about asking him about his animal preferences. His company was named Sputnik, pretty clever, right?) Anyway, Cats or dogs?

It could be that italki attracts cat people for some reason.

Most people I know have cats, especially if they live in flats. Partially cause of weather, I think, cats don't need everyday walks. As we live in a cottage we usually have both cat and dog. But this winter our cat died. His name was Mars and he really was god of war among cats.
