Have students been informed about the changes to lesson length?

Hi everyone. I'm a teacher here and today we got a message from Italki saying that 45 minute and 90 ,minute lessons won't be available after the 2nd of April. I'm just wondering if they have informed students of this?

If you're a student, did you get a notification of this change and if so, when?

thanks

Yes, I got an email today about it. As usual, the address is from "[email protected]" which I assumes means what it says. There was no suggestion of how to communicate feedback about it. Here's the actual text of the email I received:

Hi,

We’re writing to let you know that we will be making some changes to italki which may affect you. These changes will come into effect on 2nd April 2019.

Instant Tutoring will be removed and will be replaced with a new and improved feature in the future.

45 minute and 90 minute lesson durations will be removed due to low demand and to simplify the lesson booking process. Scheduled lessons and incomplete Lesson Packages will not be affected.

In order to reduce confusion and to protect both teachers and students, we are updating italki’s Teacher Policy and Teacher Code Of Conduct and removing individual cancellation policies that were previously optional.

Best wishes,

The italki Team

I am a student and did not receive any notification. Though I have never taken a 45 min or 90 min lesson on here.

Yes, I did, I received it today. I am a student and I take 45-minute lessons. I suppose, everyone who have been taking lessons lately got such an email.
