English Pronunciation Tricks for Your Students

Hey guys,

I hope you're having a good week. Here is a useful trick to remind your INTERMEDIATE or ADVANCED level students to help them sound that little bit more natural and fluent. This video teaches how intonation affects the meaning of what we say sometimes.

I use this sentence to illustrate it:

"I didn't say he stole the money."

Say this to yourself and each time you say it, put a stress on a different word and see how the meaning of what your saying changes.

Check out the tutorial here: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwbvuANQMAQ&t=255s" style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwbvuANQMAQ&t=255s</a>;

Let me know if you have any other types of sentences that you could use this concept with.

Thanks,

Jesse
