Why did they remove instant tutoring... ?

This is a bad decision... Some people don't know their free time in advance. They literally know it on a day to day basis. This policy is ill-conceived.

Thoughts?

The new iTalki is horrible, in fact, I'm not even using the new/BETA version at all. I'm still using the classic site cause it's more convenient. I still can't get over the fact that instant tutoring is gone. My students who took instant tutoring classes with me said that they don't have time to schedule lessons so iTalki just robbed them off the opportunity to talk to tutors/teachers right away. iTalki's being unfair to everyone- students and teachers/tutors alike

I agree, Mustafa. I'm a busy person like most people and on occasion I have unexpected free time when I would love to sign up for a spur of the moment lesson. The book in advance policy cuts down on chances to use italki's wonderful teachers/tutors.

I don't know why they removed it already but they said that they will replace instant tutoring by another feature in the future.

I'll probably just leave this site... instant tutoring made it good -- you could try out new teachers right away...

You could get a lesson on short notice...

Booking lessons with a day's notice is going to exclude a large demographic of very busy people who don't know their schedule in advance or just like the ease and convenience...

Inevitably there is some kind of financial motive behind it... so cynical... I have my own theories... but I'll leave it to others to speculate why they would want to dissuade dynamic communication between students and teachers...
