Hi. It's an interesting question. Whole my life I had teachers bad at English, and I don't mean that they weren't doing their best effort to teach me, is just that they didn't know how to do it. So, I was surrounded by teachers with boring methods with bad pronuntiation and a weak sense of motivation to inspire me. By the age of twenty, I barely knew how to speak in English, but I fell in love with a girl from United States. I never tried to learn english while I was with her because she spoke spanish perfectly. My intention of learning english came up after that, when we lost contact. I decided to learn english at 26 because it was imposible for me to consider that I never wanted to speak the language of the person who was so important to me. I thought I was selfish and lazy. However, the reason why I kept learning English was that I discovered the tedx talks on youtube; those people made me understand the huge amount of useful information I was losing. Those videos definitely motivated me. I've been discovering a new amazing world since I learned this language. I also improved my own language because of it.
