Most of my student increase their listening skills and watch the videos or comedy sketches I send them. One of my students put the music on high and sing along with the singer I am seeing a noticeable difference in his English.
As for me, I have a home office and working from home both offline and online just because of the horrible traffic in my city. It is the sixth largest city and 14 million people in it. I am trying to move to a city where I could travel from point A to point B without a headache due to noise pollution, and a deep regret due to wastage of time.
I live in a small city (150,000 population) so the worst traffic jam will delay me by only 5 minutes.
Try using your phone to record your speaking, whatever language you are learning.
Later you can ask a native speaker or a teacher to comment on your recording, your speaking skill.
Talk about any topic.
If you are listening to an audiobook in English, then stop the recording at the end of every sentence and try to repeat the sentence.
You'd better change city.
Car (or people ) on the road is an event in my town. -)
